I am a SURVIVOR!

I have survived being pinned in a truck roll-over, five rear-end auto collisions, and one "air-to-ground" airplane accident. These incidents had left me with a severe "pain in the neck" that was ALMOST scheduled for corrective surgery.

I have also survived more than twenty surgeries in my lifetime...over a period of 73 years. But more impending surgery was something I wished to avoid.

Hence my visit to Nathan Bales. I was skeptical and procrastinated in seeing Nathan for over a year. My daughter kept urging me to "let Nathan work on me." So I gave in. I think I went to Nathan not expecting much, since I had received a myriad of therapy sessions with others. I just wanted to get my daughter off of my back, and perhaps, have a good full body massage.

What I didn't know, is that Nathan treats the ENTIRE person...BODY, MIND, and SPIRIT. I walked away from that first session standing taller than I had ever stood in my entire life, with relief for my neck pain, and with a renewed hope for healing.

Dear Nathan,

I was treated for back pain, scoliosis pain and stress for years by an acupuncturist and chiropractor in New York. In September of 2007 I moved to NC and found a chiropractor to treat my problems. After many visits, he recommended you, Nathan.

My first visit with you gave me relief. A few more visits and I felt great! Recently I fell and injured my right leg. This caused other parts of my body to also hurt. Once again, you are helping my body to feel good. You definitely know what you are doing! Your concern for you client comes through with every visit.

When my mother recommended you to me, I was extremely hesitant. I had been
experiencing almost a year of shooting pains down the right side of my body.
After seven or so months of chiropractic treatment, with limited success, I decided to call you.

I have been in constant pain for 30 plus years. I have been to one of the best acupuncturists, more chiropractors then you can count, and have had steroid shots to the spine with No Relief. Then my Mother-in-law gave me a couple of gift certificates to go see Nathan, I was reluctant never having had a massage before but I was amazed at the almost instant relief I found. I woke up the next morning and rolled over in bed, expecting the normal shooting pain I feel every morning but it was gone, just gone after one visit.

Nathan has a very pleasant, positive, and calming personality. He is extremely knowledgeable and in tune with the mind, spirit, and body and the bodies workings. Although I've only had 2 sessions with him, I feel like now I can see the light at the end of the PAIN TUNNEL. I sleep better because the ever constant pain is gone, even when I thought I would never find relief.

Nathan Bales performed my very first deep tissue massage. It was truly amazing!!! He is caring and attentive to the needs of your body. The atmosphere of his office is calming and serene. I had never experienced anything quite like this before. The day after, I was full of energy and floating on cloud 9. I have recommended him to several people and will continue to use his services.

When Fear knocks at the door, Faith opens it and there is no one there!

At Thanksgiving, 1996, our son and daughter in law came to Horseshoe Bay for the weekend. On the couch was a heating pad and our son inquired who was having a problem. I told him I had been diagnosed with arthritic spurs on the vertebras near my neck. The heating pad and Tylenol gave me my only temporary relief. He quickly assured me that Nathan Bales could help me and said he would call and set up an appointment.

That he did and I have been going to Nathan on a regular basis for over six months. I have put away the heating pad and the Tylenol and have really been pain free! It is a 100 mile round trip from Horseshoe Bay to Austin for my massage but it is the best time and money I have spent!

Nathan has a very pleasant personality, is very conscientious, is helpful in nutrition (I am drinking lots of water and including more fiber in my diet) and is very skilled in his profession.

I am writing this letter in appreciation for all he has done for me. I look forward with great anticipation to my massage. I cannot express in words how much better I feel (and as I have just reached my 65th birthday that is a wonderful blessing)!

Five years prior to seeing Nathan for a massage, I had a serious fall in the gym. This resulted in an AC separation. I was in a sling and neck brace for weeks. My Dr. prescribed a series of steroid injections, but I declined. Unfortunately, the result was a hardened knot in my shoulder which remained painful and prevented me from being able to work out with weights or to lift anything over 5 lbs without experiencing pain. Basically, any movement involving my shoulder hurt.

Moreover, physical therapy or massage therapy (and I tried many therapists) brought only temporary results. It became a chronic condition and the pain a part of my life.

Then, I found Nathan. After several sessions with him, my shoulder has completely healed! Not only is Nathan an extremely gifted and knowledgeable therapist; his passionate care for your health manifest in a deep healing experience unlike any massage I have ever encountered. Luckily for me, my shoulder has healed, for I will not be able to find another therapist of his caliber. He simply is the best!

My name is Fannie M. Suarez. I would like to inform you that it has been my pleasure to allow Mr. Nathan Bales to perform therapeutic massages on me. I have found Mr. Bales to be very professional at the bedside. He has been extremely polite and has always conducted himself in a professional manner. He is very knowledgeable in his area of expertise. Being a professional nurse myself, I find Mr. Bales very caring. On one occasion I arrived to his office for my appointment in severe neck pain. I was diagnosed of having a neck spasm and sent home from a doctor's office on vicodin for pain.
